Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting our attorneys in all phases of divorce and family law cases, from initial client intake to post-judgment matters. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of family law procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in drafting legal documents, including petitions, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Manage client files, ensuring all documents are complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
  • Prepare discovery requests and responses, as well as organize and manage case evidence.
  • Communicate with clients to gather information, provide case updates, and answer general inquiries.
  • Assist with court filings and ensure compliance with local court rules and deadlines.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, hearings, and depositions.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all client interactions.
  • Requires 1452 billable hours per year.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in family law.
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent education preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of family law procedures and terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • High level of attention to detail and organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well within a team.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary based on experience ($60,000 – $90,000 per year).
