Nikki Hawks

Lead Client Relations Coordinator

Nikki Hawks is the Lead Client Relations Coordinator at Divorce Matters and has been with the firm for over 9 years. She brings more than 20 years of experience in customer service and client relations, along with a strong background in managing and supporting teams throughout her career. Nikki has always had a passion for helping people feel heard, supported, and cared for, especially during some of the most difficult and emotional moments of their lives.

Nikki was drawn to family law and client relations because of both her professional background and her personal experience. Having gone through custody litigation herself, she understands how overwhelming, emotional, and scary the legal process can feel. She knows how important it is for someone to feel like they have a team behind them, someone who is listening, and someone who can help guide them toward the next step. That experience allows Nikki to connect with potential clients on a deeper level and help them feel less alone during a very stressful time.

As the Lead Client Relations Coordinator, Nikki manages the intake team and helps ensure potential clients are met with compassion, professionalism, and support from the very beginning. She is also one of the first people potential clients may speak with, along with her team. Nikki helps listen to their story, answer questions, gather important information, and guide them toward the right next step.

What Nikki enjoys most about helping potential clients during the intake process is being able to help someone feel a little more at ease during a stressful and emotional time. She values the opportunity to listen, make people feel heard, answer their questions, and provide clarity on what the next step may look like. Even when someone feels overwhelmed when they first call, Nikki’s goal is for them to leave the conversation feeling supported, cared for, and not so alone.
Nikki wants anyone who reaches out to Divorce Matters to feel reassured that they have a team behind them who is ready to advocate for them. She understands that going through any type of court matter can feel overwhelming and scary, and her goal is for each person to feel heard, cared for, and supported every step of the way. She hopes potential clients feel a little more at ease when they get off the phone.

In addition to leading the intake team, Nikki wears many different hats around the firm to support attorneys, paralegals, and staff. This includes assisting with training, hiring, interviewing, client relations, intake processes, and many other areas to help ensure both the team and clients feel supported from the very beginning.

Outside of work, Nikki enjoys spending time with her son, friends, and family. She loves camping, fishing, and going to the mountains every chance she gets. Originally from Georgia, Nikki has made Colorado home and enjoys the peace, beauty, and outdoor lifestyle the state has to offer.
