Can you believe that it’s almost October? September is flying by, which means that the holidays and that gorgeous fall Colorado weather is well on its way. With that comes the amazing fall activities the Denver area has to offer. We have put together a list of the 14 BEST fall activities in the Denver area that will have you covered from October 1st all the way until Thanksgiving! Enjoy!

Colorado’s Fall Leaves

The best way to see Colorado’s amazing fall colors is through a scenic drive! We recommend the Peak to Peak Highway and Scenic Byway or the Guanella Pass Scenic Byway for the best mountain views and fall colors

 

Oktoberfest Fall Market 

Denver’s Oktoberfest Fall Market takes place in Denver’s Dairy Block Alley. You can find live music, food, drinks, pop-up bars, and local merchants in dairy Block Alley from now until October 10th on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays

 

Fall Horseshoe Market

This Fall Markey takes place on Saturday, September 25th in the Berkley Chapel Lot. Here you can find makers, entrepreneurs, curators, artists, food, and drinks to enjoy!

 

Morrison Ciderfest

The Morrison Ciderfest takes place on Saturday, September 25th at 485 Summer St. in Morrison, Colorado. The Ciderfest will include live music, family activities, cider pressing and tasting, hay rides, arts and crafts, food, and drinks. This is the perfect family activity!

 

Autumn Bazaar at Belleview Station 

You can attend the Autumn Bazaar on Saturday, October 2nd at Belleview Station! This event spans a three block area and includes fall shopping and sipping from local businesses!

 

Harvest Fest 

This family friendly event takes place on Saturday, October 2nd at the Ironton Distillery and Crafthouse! There will be pumpkin themed foods and drinks, pumpkin picking and decorating, axe throwing, local fruits and vegetables, a pie eating contest, local music, and an outdoor screening of Hocus Pocus! Costumes are encouraged and there will even be a costume contest at 7 pm that evening!

 

Broadway Halloween Parade 

On Saturday, October 23rd, you and your family can check out the Broadway Halloween Parade! The parade will include floats, bands, and marches and will run on Broadway in Denver from 5th to Alameda! Feel free to get in on the fun and wear your own costumes!  

 

McGregor Scare: Family Fun 

This fun event is made for families and takes place over two weekends in October! Enjoy the McGregor Scare in McGregor Square on October 23rd and 24th and 30th and 31st. There will be pumpkin decorating, face painting, and spooky movies! In addition, there will be trick-or-treating taking place on Saturday, October 30th!

 

Boonion Station Trick or Treat Parade 

Check out Union Station’s Trick or Treat Parade on Thursday, October 28th! There will be train rides, balloon artists, face painting, and other fun family activities! The night will be capped ff with a Trick-or-Treat parade at 5 pm. There will be prizes for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd best costumes so wear your Halloween Best!

 

Pumpkin Harvest Festival 

On Tuesday and Wednesday October 5th and 6th, you can check out the Pumpkin Harvest Festival at Four Mile Historic Park in Denver! There will be live music, food trucks, pioneer games, and a pumpkin patch for all to enjoy!  

 

Fright Fest at Elitch Gardens 

Enjoy Elitch Gardens in all its spooky glory for Fright Fest! You can enjoy Fright Fest from September 2nd to November 2nd on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays!

 

Pumpkin Nights

This unique event has over 3,000 carved and decorated pumpkins arranged into an amazing pumpkin fantasy land with festive lights and live artist demonstrations! Enjoy this grogeous set up from October 17th to November 3rd at the Adams County Fairgrounds from 5:30 until 10:30 pm!

 

Free Zoo Admission 

The Denver Zoo will offer free admission on Monday November 4th and Friday November 8th! Perfect for little ones who aren’t quite ready for school!
