Colorado Divorce Attorney Explains How To Lower Divorce Costs
One major concern for spouses filing for divorce is the question of how much it costs to hire a Denver divorce attorney. In this video, Colorado family law attorney Kathlyn Laraway explains how much our law firm charges for divorce services and how we strive to provide as many options to keep your divorce fees as low as possible.

Our firm is pretty standard. We ask for a retainer up front and we bill out of that, and generally if, you know, the case gets a little crazy and gets a little more expensive, we’re going to ask for people to replenish their retainers, but our goal is to kind of keep costs as, you know, as minimal and as controlled as possible. The number one driver of what your divorce is going to cost is going to be the other party and how well you are able to get along. Certainly, there are couples that come in our door that have pretty amicable divorces and they’re able to keep their costs fairly minimal. If you’re going to hire an attorney, look for an attorney who’s using the internet and who’s using technology to move their practice along. Because there’s a lot of stuff out there that our firm uses, like Provault and Law Toolbox which save the client money in a lot of ways because you’re not paying an attorney an hourly rate to do something that a computer program can do in a couple of seconds.
