Attorney Ciara M. Anderson knew from a very young age that she wanted to pursue a career where she could help make people’s lives better. For Ciara, becoming an attorney was how she could make sure that even when life happens, people have someone in their corner treating them with humanity and fighting for them.
While attending law school Ciara worked as a law clerk, gaining invaluable experience on a variety of cases, including civil, criminal, and domestic cases. She also participated in the University of Denver’s prestigious Civil Rights Clinic for two years where she successfully represented clients in civil and prisoner rights cases. Working at the clinic gave Ciara two years of hands on experience, drafting motions at both the State and Federal levels, and arguing a case in the District of Colorado.
Ciara now joins Divorce Matters to continue her domestic relations practice. Before becoming an attorney, Ciara began her journey with Divorce Matters working in several different administrative positions here at the firm. This has given her unique insights into what her clients experience at every stage of the process, including the emotional, financial, and legal challenges. She uses this experience to her clients’ advantage, ensuring that everything she does is in service of making those challenges easier to overcome.
The most important thing Ciara wants for her clients is that they feel heard and that their story is told. Her strength lays in her ability to listen and empathize with her clients. She is also able to take what she hears and apply her investigative prowess to that information, cutting to the heart of issues so she can apply her legal strategy and deliver results to her clients.
When Ciara is not fighting for her clients, you can find her spending time with her dog, Piper Bader Ginsburg Anderson! She also enjoys live music, spending time in the mountains and traveling internationally.
