Attorney William TaylorAttorney William Taylor has been with Divorce Matters since the very beginning. William is a Colorado native and grew up in Lakewood, Colorado. From there, he went on to Boise State University to get his undergraduate degree. After receiving his undergraduate degree, William decided to return home for law school, where he attended the University of Denver Sturm Law School. After his first year of law school, William joined Divorce Matters as a law clerk. Over the rest of his time in law school, William continued to gain experience with Divorce Matters, participating in countless criminal, civil, and domestic trials, as he assisted the attorneys with legal research and trial preparation. After he graduated, William came on with Divorce Matters full time to continue his work in civil, domestic, and criminal defense work with the firm, diving headfirst into his casework to zealously advocate on behalf of his clients.

Since then, William has continued his education and received certificates in corporate and commercial law, giving him experience in dealing with complex financial matters, especially when it comes to business interests and trusts! He has also retained his connection to Denver University and is fostering the next generation of attorneys by serving as the head coach for the University of Denver Undergraduate Mock Trial program for the past four years. In addition to serving the next generation, William has continued to foster a client-centric approach in all of his cases, ensuring that his clients feel heard and understood.

William’s education and training allow him to take on a variety of cases at Divorce Matters, as well as taking on cases for our sister firm Thomas Law Firm. William specializes in both family and civil law, especially complex cases including prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, domestic violence cases, cases involving complex financial matters, business interests, or trusts, and civil law appeals.
