Attorney Gwendolyn Lawson has set herself apart in the legal field with her commitment to her clients, volunteer work, and continuing her legal education. In her 16 years of legal practice, Gwendolyn has been certified by the bar to practice in Colorado, in the Colorado Supreme Court, as well as in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, U.S. District Court – District of Colorado, and even the U.S. Supreme Court!
Gwendolyn is also a part of various professional associations and has been asked to speak on behalf of the Colorado Bar Association. Gwendolyn comes to Divorce Matters with experience as a solo practitioner, a District Attorney, and a Public Defender. Her experience in various legal environments has afforded her the knowledge and experience to assist in just about any type of case. She has extensive experience in family law matters, including dissolution of marriage, post decree issues and modifications, adoptions, child custody, child support, restraining orders, and allocation of parental responsibilities.
While Gwendolyn’s profession accomplishments are numerable and impressive, her passion for her work remains the most unique thing about her. Gwendolyn knew from the time she was a little girl that she wanted to help people and the legal system offered her the perfect vehicle to do so. When she graduated law school, her passion for helping others continued to shine in her legal work, especially in her volunteer work for the Colorado Bar Association’s Our Courts and the El Paso County Bar Association’s Senior Law Day.
Outside of work, Gwendolyn enjoys walking and swimming! She embraces the quiet and relaxation of swimming and swims whenever she can!
